DESCRIPTION

ABAPRIME-MB is a two-component, low-viscosity epoxy polyamine-based primer designed as a moisture barrier for preparing surfaces before applying industrial coatings and floorings. It forms a thin film that prevents moisture from migrating from the substrate to the final coating.

Method

CONSUMPTION

Application thickness: 100–200 microns, depending on substrate moisture
Theoretical consumption: 200–300 g/m² on a smooth surface
Actual consumption may vary based on site conditions (airflow, temperature, humidity, method, equipment, substrate type)

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface must be clean and free of grease and contaminants
Standing water must be removed before application
For fresh concrete, wait 28 days before applying
For old concrete, wash with fresh water to remove salts, grease, dust, and loose particles.
Use alkaline degreasers if needed, followed by water rinsing
Surface roughness can be achieved mechanically (power tools) or chemically (acid pickling)
Final cleaning with dry air or vacuum before priming

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

Supplied in two separate packages
Mix component A thoroughly, then add component B in the recommended ratio
Use an electric mixer at 300–400 rpm until a uniform color and consistency are achieved
Only mix what can be used within 3 hours
Do not alter the mixing ratio

SURFACE PREPARATION SHALL NOT TAKE PLACE IN THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

Reactivity between epoxy resin and polyamine hardener reduces pot life over time
In warm climates, components should be at ~25°C before mixing
Application temperature: 10–40°C
Surface temperature: 10–45°C
Relative humidity: below 80%
Ensure uniform, bubble-free film

Protection and Safty

HEALTH & SAFETY

This product is Flammable. Keep away from heat and open flame. Keep the container closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid prolonged and repeated contact with skin. If used in confined areas, observe the following precautions to prevent hazards of fire or explosion, or damage to health:

Circulate adequate fresh air continuously during application and drying.
Use fresh air masks and explosion-proof equipment.
Prohibit all flames, sparks, welding, and smoking.
