DESCRIPTION
ABAFLOOR PUR-20 is a two-component intermediate layer flooring system based on polyester resin and isocyanate aromatic hardener with very high mechanical and chemical resistance characteristics. This product is designed for use on concrete surfaces and in flooring operations to create a durable intermediate surface. ABAFLOOR PUR-20 can be used to protect concrete floor surfaces in the food industry, industrial and commercial warehouses, power plants, and other places where the floor surface must be smooth, cleanable, and ready for heavy-duty work.
SURFACE PREPARATION
ABAFLOOR PUR-20 must be applied over a suitable primer. The surface of the primer must be dry and free of any contamination. ABAFLOOR PUR-20 should be applied at intervals exceeding the specified coverage. To achieve a smooth and suitable surface, before applying ABAFLOOR PUR-20, all concrete cracks must be filled with ABADUR MP.
Concrete Surfaces: Concrete should be cured for a minimum of 28 days before coating. The moisture content of the concrete should be below 4%. All surfaces should be clean and dry.
SURFACE PREPARATION SHALL NOT TAKE PLACE IN THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
APPLICATION METHOD
The material is supplied in two containers as a unit. Always mix one whole unit in the proportion supplied. Once the unit has been mixed, it must be used within the working pot life specified.
Mix thoroughly for at least three minutes, scraping the container bottom and side to assure complete mixing. There is no induction or waiting time required after mixing before application.
The exothermic nature of the hardening reaction may increase the temperature of the mixture in the bucket, which causes loss of efficiency. As with all high-performance coatings, this product must be applied as recommended to achieve the maximum protection for which it is formulated.
Pour ABAFLOOR PUR-20 on the ground and spread it using a flat trowel. Within 10 minutes, roll the surface with a pin roller to remove air bubbles. Applying a minimum thickness of 1-2 mm, ABAFLOOR PUR-20 typically provides a smooth surface with very good mechanical characteristics.
