DESCRIPTION
ELASTOCOLOR is an acrylic based paint specially formulated to with stand the harsh Middle East climate. The special acrylic binder gives a durable and long lasting matt finish with low dirt pickup. ELASTOCOLOR&rsquo s special formulation will also protect against concrete carbonation. It is ideal for decorating and protecting exterior surfaces and especially suited as a maintenance product.
Method
The substrate should be clean and sound, free of dust, loose particles, grease, oil, primers from previous membrane systems or bitumen. Bitumen or primers should be removed by shot blasting or mechanical means. Spalled concrete should be repaired by cutting out to sound concrete and patching with E.M.SuperRepair .Cracks, holes and honeycombs must be repaired prior to application.

Application
FIELD OF APPLICATION
For use on most exterior surfaces onto concrete and cement plaster. Can also be used as topcoat on other emulsion based paints and as a topcoat for textured systems.
APPLICATION
The application using brush or roller requires laying the material onto the surface, avoiding brushing out, to achieve the required film thickness per coat. A minimum of two coats are required on vertical surfaces to achieve a total dry film thickness of approximately 350 microns. On horizontal surfaces a minimum of three coats are required to achieve a total dry film thickness of approximately 500 microns.

- Appearance : Colored.
- Density : Approx. 1.4 g/cm3.
- Drying tack free : Approx. 40 minutes at 23°C.
- Recoat : 2 hours.
- Fully dried : 7 days.
- Application temp : 10-35 °C.
- Adhesion to Concrete : > 2 MPa (Concrete failure) According to ASTM D 4541.
- Hardness (Shore A) : 50-60.
- Elongation : > 500%.
- Accelerated weathering, 500 hours : No chalking or cracking on the film .

STORAGE & SHELFLIFE
The shelf life is 12 months if unopened, stored free from frost, moisture and direct sunlight.

Protection and Safty
ELASTOCOLOR is non-toxic but is alkaline in its nature. When applying gloves & goggles should be worn. Wash off splashes to skin with water. If in eyes wash out with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention. ELASTOCOLOR is non-flammable. MSDS is available from Abadgaran.
