DESCRIPTION
ABATARD-P is a highly efficient set-retarding admixture with crystallized structure which temporarily stops the chemical action of hydration, delaying the initial set in direct proportion to the dosage used.
It meets the requirements of the following standards: ASTM C494/C494 M TYPE B EN 934-2 ISIRI 2930 Table 9
Method
- ABATARD-P could be added to a part of concrete mixing water then added to the concrete mix
- ABATARD-P could be added to the concrete mix during the mixing cycle before adding water
Note: Admixtures must be weighed carefully
Properties
- Provides controlled setting time.
- Suitable for use in tropical and hot climatic conditions.

- After the initial retardation, the rate of hardening proceeds at a rate.

- Pumping concrete at long distances transportation .
- Roller-Compacted Concrete (RCC) - i.e. use for dam applications.

Considerations
DOSAGE
- The retardation rate achieved is directly dependant on the dosage rate which in turn is influenced by sizes and types of aggregates, cement content, type of concrete, water/cement ratio, ambient temperature.
- The optimum dosage of ABATARD-P can be determined by trials in the site. A dosage of between 0.5 and 3.0 percent by weight of cement is recommended.
- For use with other range of dosage, contact ABADGARAN Technical Services Department.
- Note: Please contact our Technical Department in case of simultaneous use of more than one admixture.
STORAGE
- Shelf life: 1 year in the original package
- Storage condition: should be protected from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep bag in the temperature range between +10°C and +30°C
- Packing: 25 kg bag
