ELASTOCOAT

The substrate should be clean and sound, free of dust, loose particles, grease, oil, primers from previous membrane systems or bitumen. Bitumen or primers should be removed by shot blasting or mechanical means. Spalled concrete should be repaired by cutting out to sound concrete and patching with E.M.SuperRepair .Cracks, holes and honeycombs must be repaired prior to application.

FIELD OF APPLICATION
Use as a decorative, waterproofing membrane to most types of building facades, walls, roofs and gutters. ELASTOCOAT has approval for use in wet areas such as bathrooms. It provides a protective waterproofing skin over polyurethane foam, protecting the PU foam from UV and weather attack. On roofs and balconies, ELASTOCOAT provides a durable, non-skid, waterproof finish which will accept regular foot traffic.

APPLICATION
The application using brush or roller requires laying the material onto the surface, avoiding brushing out, to achieve the required film thickness per coat. A minimum of two coats are required on vertical surfaces to achieve a total dry film thickness of approximately 350 microns. On horizontal surfaces a minimum of three coats are required to achieve a total dry film thickness of approximately 500 microns.

• Drying tack free : Approx. 40 minutes at 23°C.
• Recoat : 4 hours.
• Fully dried : 7 days.
• Application temp : 10-35 °C.
• Adhesion to Concrete : > 2 MPa (Concrete failure) According to ASTM D 4541.
• Hardness (Shore A) : 50-60.
• Elongation : > 500%.
• Accelerated weathering, 500 hours : No chalking or cracking  on the film.

STORAGE &SHELFLIFE
The shelf life is 12 months if unopened, stored free from frost, moisture and direct sunlight.

ELASTOCOAT is non-toxic but is alkaline in its nature. When applying gloves &goggles should be worn. Wash off splashes to skin with water. If in eyes wash out with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention. ELASTOCOAT is non-flammable. MSDS is available from Abadgaran.
