  • Posted by : Business Development Unit of Abadgaran Company
Surface protection systems are a fundamental part of the concrete repair and rehabilitation process. They are designed to enhance the strength, durability, and service life of concrete when exposed to corrosion, cracking, and other damaging factors. These systems improve the overall quality and longevity of concrete, offering protection against potential damage caused by environmental conditions and service loads. The use of such systems in the construction and maintenance of concrete structures can significantly reduce maintenance costs and ensure structural safety. Concrete Moisture Control for Damage Prevention

  • Posted by : Business Development Unit of Abadgaran Company
Chapter Six of the Abadgaran Concrete Repair Book, based on EN 1504, addresses eleven principles and design methods. This article focuses on the design principles and methods related to EN 1504 Principle 2 – Moisture Control. The goal of Principle 2 is to regulate and stabilize the moisture content of concrete within a defined range in order to control harmful reactions. In this context, the concrete is allowed to dry, while any increase in its moisture is prevented. This method is commonly used to control alkali-silica reactions, sulfate attacks, or deterioration caused by freeze-thaw cycles.
